Urinary incontinence is of the following types:

Imperative or Urgent Urinary Incontinence

Type of incontinence, when the leakage of urine occurs involuntarily, with the urge to urinate. This happens when the sensor sensors on the walls of the bladder do not respond in a timely and proper manner, or because of the hyperactivity of this zone.

Incontinence due to overflow

This happens when the bladder is stretched because it is full of urine, and the urethra does not cope with the retention, since her work is disrupted as a result, for example, benign prostatic hypertrophy (prostatitis in men) or neurological damage to the spinal cord, the consequence of surgery or scattered sclerosis.

Stress incontinence

This type is caused by external stimuli, such as cold, water, strong emotions, including anger or fear, phobias and mania.

Incontinence due to neurogenic causes

When the urinary tract is impaired, caused by problems in the nervous system. This type of incontinence is common in people after a stroke or suffering from Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and after spinal cord injuries.

Exercises and recommendations for urinary incontinence

Make a bath with warm water

Sit comfortably, stretch the muscles of the small pelvis and hold the contraction for five seconds. Relax for ten seconds and repeat the exercise. Do this little exercise ten times, every day.

Kegel Exercises

They are based on contraction of the pelvic muscles and intimate muscles. Every time you have a urge to urinate, try to stop the flow of fluid by squeezing the pelvic muscles, then relax them, then squeeze again. Repeat this several times until you empty the bladder.

NOTE:These exercises with a complete bladder should not be performed more often than 2-3 times a month. However, these exercises are effective and with an empty bladder, just do the same, simulating the process of urination.

Hypopressive gymnastics

This gymnast combines breathing and postural exercises to strengthen the abdominal muscles. In standing position, place your legs on the width of your hips and put the pelvis forward. Bend your knees slightly and lift your hands up.

Strain the abdominal muscles three times, making short breaths-exhalations. When you exhale, do it slowly. Now take a deep breath, filling the entire volume of the lungs. Repeat this series two times.

Before going to bed, go to the toilet. If you feel that you are about to sneeze or cough, or before lifting something heavy, strain the sphincter to prevent involuntary urination.

Do not forget to look at the toilet before you leave the house. Wear underwear, which is easy to take off and do not forget to take a shift with you, in case of an "accident". Every time you go to the toilet, try to completely empty the bladder.
